Brisbane’s biggest networking event, set to take the spotlight on November 1st this year will see the city’s elite decision makers, corporate business representatives and local business owners come together in the support of RACQ CareFlight Rescue and The Dodd Foundation.
The Dodd Foundation was established by Megan Dodd, Brisbane Regional Community Relations
Manager for RACQ CareFlight Rescue, following the tragic events that struck her and her husband of 24 days, Paul. While on their honeymoon in the UK this past Christmas Day, an accident left Paul in a critical condition, unconscious and unable to return to Australia. Miraculously, Paul survived the first 24 hours and through sheer determination improved in health during the coming days and weeks. It was during this time; Megan engaged the assistance of her colleagues at RACQ CareFlight Rescue. On February 19, Paul, who was still unconscious, was transported back to Australia with the help of a full medical escort and the CareFlight team. Now in his home of Brisbane, Paul requires continual care in RBWH Hospital and is still in a coma.
The Dodd Foundation was established in a hope to raise much needed funds to cater for the ongoing costly care of Paul. In an effort to achieve this, The Dodd Foundation and CareFlight have combined forces with Brisbane businesses Connect Working and Wealth Acceleration Group to promote and hold Brisbane’s Biggest Networking Event in 2008.
Brisbane’s Biggest Networking Event will be held in Brisbane City at Tattersall’s Club on November 1st at 6:30pm. Tickets are $195 with all profits to be split between RACQ CareFlight Rescue and the Dodd Foundation.
